As an industrial-quality sand, Hanson Kiln Dried Sand can be used for a wide variety of outdoor applications.

It is most commonly used for brushing in between block paving and patio slab joints to prevent the movement of blocks whilst supporting drainage by stopping ingress, which can cause paved areas to become loose. Additionally, this can also help to prevent the growth, or re-growth of weeds as this sand is dry and nutrient-poor.

Depending on the width and depth of your paving joints, you’ll typically require x1 25kg bag per 15-30 square metres of paving. Ensure that your paving blocks are dry before that sand is brushed in.

This sand can also be used after artificial grass has been laid to keep the pile vertical.

It is a dry, fine, yellow/brown aggregate that can be stored outside.
